Humidity all night, without disturbing noise

In sleep mode it runs at 30.7 dB(A) according to Xiaomi, and via the app you switch off the display and notifications. With 5 litres in the tank it lasts the whole night and well into the next day.

Pour water in from the top

No need to carry the tank to the tap or lift a lid – pour the water in from the top, straight into the unit. Always unplug it first. A window shows how much water is left, and it reminds you when it's running low.

The filter can go in the washing machine

The 3D filter can be washed by hand or in the washing machine at max 40 °C and air-dried. Xiaomi recommends cleaning it once a week and replacing it after 6–12 months. It's normal for the filter to turn yellow over time.

What room size does it suit?

Xiaomi recommends rooms of 20–30 m², for example a bedroom or a smaller living room. In bigger rooms it can't raise the humidity as much.

What is the descaler in the box?

Two sachets of citric acid used for the unit's descaling programme, as described in the user manual. Follow the instructions and keep the sachets out of reach of children.

What humidity should I aim for?

Indoors, 40–60 % relative humidity usually feels comfortable. With the radiators on in winter, indoor air can drop to 20–30 %. Set the level you want and let the humidity sensor do the work – above 60 % is rarely needed and can cause condensation on cold windows.

Does it get hot? Is it safe in a child's room?

No, it doesn't heat the water – moisture evaporates naturally from a wet filter, so there is no hot steam to get burned by. Still, place it steadily where children can't tip it over or pull the cord, and don't let children play with the appliance or the water.

How do I clean it?

Clean the filter and tank about once a week. The pump and float can be removed for thorough cleaning, and the descaling programme keeps the water system free of deposits. Empty the water when you're not using it.

Description

A clean-lined white humidifier with no visible mist for the bedroom or living room. Mijia Evaporative Pro humidifies at 600 ml/h and is recommended for rooms of 20–30 m² according to Xiaomi, and the 5-litre tank lasts a full night and day.

It's evaporative: a pump wets a suspended 3D filter and the fan blows room air through it, so the water evaporates. No mist settles on the furniture and the water isn't heated. The filter can be washed by hand or in the washing machine (max 40 °C) and is replaced after 6–12 months according to Xiaomi.

You pour in water from the top without lifting any lid (unplug it first). The display on top shows the humidity in large digits, and there are modes for constant humidity, sleep, turbo and drying the filter. In the Xiaomi Home app you choose the level and schedule start and stop.

Sleep mode runs at 30.7 dB(A) according to Xiaomi. The pump and float can be removed and cleaned, and a descaling programme is built in.
