In a house with an open-plan layout, a small humidifier doesn't go far. Superior 6000S humidifies areas up to 279 m² according to Levoit and holds the humidity you choose with its sensor.

The wick filter does the work

The water is soaked up by the filter and the fan blows air through it, so the moisture evaporates without mist. In dry mode it dries the filter after use, and an indicator shows when the filter needs replacing.

Control it from the panel or your phone

On top you see the humidity and choose the mode. In the VeSync app you set the level, fan speed and schedules – and with away mode it adapts its operation when nobody is home.

How do I fill such a big tank?

With the included filling hose, or by filling the tank with a jug. The tank holds 22.7 litres and gets heavy, so roll the unit into place before filling it.

Does it suit a bedroom?

It has a sleep mode with lower sound and the display off, but it's built for large spaces. For an ordinary bedroom a smaller humidifier is plenty.

What humidity should I aim for?

Indoors, 40–60 % relative humidity usually feels comfortable. With the radiators on in winter, indoor air can drop to 20–30 %. Set the level you want and let the humidity sensor do the work – above 60 % is rarely needed and can cause condensation on cold windows.

Does it get hot? Is it safe in a child's room?

No, it doesn't heat the water – moisture evaporates naturally from a wet filter, so there is no hot steam to get burned by. Still, place it steadily where children can't tip it over or pull the cord, and don't let children play with the appliance or the water.

How do I clean it?

Empty the water and let the parts dry when you're not using it. Clean the tank and filter about once a week as the manual describes – with water and a soft brush, and descale when needed. Never leave old water standing for days.

A large humidifier for open-plan spaces, whole floors or a big living room. Superior 6000S humidifies areas up to 279 m² at up to 1,500 ml/h according to Levoit, and the 22.7-litre tank lasts up to 72 hours.

It's evaporative: the water is soaked up by a wick filter and evaporates, so no mist is visible and there's no white residue or moisture on floors, furniture and electronics. The water isn't heated.

The sensor holds the humidity you want in auto mode. There's also a sleep mode (lower sound and display off), home and away modes and a dry mode that dries the filter after use. In the VeSync app you change the level, fan speed and schedules, and it can be controlled with a voice assistant.

With a full tank it's heavy – which is why it stands on wheels. A filling hose is included so you can fill it where it stands.
