A cool mist that spreads through the room

HU1510 sends the mist up to 80 cm high so it spreads through the air instead of settling around the unit. The nozzle turns in whichever direction you like. Philips states rooms up to 41 m² – a bedroom, child's room or study.

Fill it from the top

Lift the lid and pour water straight into the 3-litre tank – no tank to turn upside down. A warning shows when the water is running low, and the unit switches off when the tank is empty.

Everything in the app

In Philips Air+ you see the humidity, choose a level, set timers and schedules and change the colour of the ambient light. The colour ring on the unit shows the same at a glance.

How does HU1510 differ from Philips' evaporative humidifiers?

HU1510 is an ultrasonic humidifier that makes a visible, cool mist and raises humidity quickly. The evaporative models (2000–5000 Series) let the water evaporate from a filter, with no visible mist. With very hard water an ultrasonic humidifier can leave white dust – an evaporative model is then a better fit.

Is the mist warm?

No, the mist is cool and the water isn't heated. Still, place the unit steadily, out of reach of small children, and don't aim the mist at furniture, walls or electronics at close range.

What's the difference between HU1510/03 and HU1510/04?

The colour: /03 is graphite grey and silver, /04 is white. The features are the same.

Are scented oils included?

Three aroma pads are included, but no oils. Never pour oil into the water tank – drip it on the aroma pad as the manual describes.

What humidity should I aim for?

Indoors, 40–60 % relative humidity usually feels comfortable. With the radiators on in winter, indoor air can drop to 20–30 %. Set the level you want and let the humidity sensor do the work – above 60 % is rarely needed and can cause condensation on cold windows.

How do I clean it?

Empty the water and let the parts dry when you're not using it. Clean the tank and filter about once a week as the manual describes – with water and a soft brush, and descale when needed. Never leave old water standing for days.

A compact humidifier for the bedroom that you control from your phone. HU1510 sends a fine, cool mist up to 80 cm into the air and humidifies rooms up to 41 m² according to Philips – with a 3-litre tank that lasts up to 32 hours.

Set the humidity you want (40, 50, 60 or 70 %) and the humidity sensor holds it in auto mode. In night mode it runs quietly and the light can be switched off completely. The nozzle turns to aim the mist where you want it.

The colour ring shows the humidity at a glance, and in the Philips Air+ app you set the timer (1–12 hours), schedules and the colour of the light. The tank is filled from the top and the unit switches off when the water runs out.
