For open-plan living

A large living room with a kitchen needs airflow. AC3737 has a CADR of 505 m³/h and handles rooms up to 131 m² according to Philips – while humidifying at up to 650 ml/h when winter air is dry.

Fill it from the top

The 4-litre tank is filled from the top without opening any lid, or lifted out and filled under the tap. Without the tank, the unit works as a regular air purifier.

Humidity without mist

The water evaporates from a wet filter instead of being sprayed out. So no mist is visible, and according to Philips there's no white dust on the furniture. The water is never heated.

Product FAQ

Can I use it only as an air purifier?

Yes. Remove the water tank and it switches to purification only – handy in summer.

How often are the filters changed?

According to Philips the HEPA filter (FY3437) lasts up to a year and the humidification filter (FY3455) about six months, depending on the air and usage.

How does it differ from the PureProtect Water 3400?

AC3737 is bigger and more powerful: CADR 505 m³/h and rooms up to 131 m², against 300 m³/h and 78 m² for the 3400. It also has a bigger tank (4 l vs 3.2 l). The 3400 has a night light and voice control, which AC3737 lacks.

What humidity should I aim for?

Indoors, 40–60 % relative humidity usually feels comfortable. With the radiators on in winter, indoor air can drop to 20–30 %. Set the level you want and let the humidity sensor do the work – above 60 % is rarely needed and can cause condensation on cold windows.

Is it safe with children at home?

The water isn't heated, so there's no hot steam, and the panel has a child lock. The unit is 75 cm tall – place it steadily on the floor where it can't tip over.

How do I clean it?

Empty the water and let the parts dry when you're not using it. Clean the tank and filter about once a week as the manual describes – with water and a soft brush, and descale when needed. Never leave old water standing for days. Vacuum the pre-filter when it turns grey.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Description

The more powerful of Philips' combined air purifiers and humidifiers, for large living rooms and open-plan spaces. AC3737 purifies rooms up to 131 m² with a CADR of 505 m³/h and humidifies at up to 650 ml/h according to Philips.

The filter has three layers – pre-filter, HEPA NanoProtect and treated activated carbon – and according to Philips' laboratory tests captures 99.97 % of particles down to 0.003 microns. The carbon is designed to deal with formaldehyde and odours. Humidification is evaporative: the water evaporates from a filter with no visible mist and isn't heated.

The detachable water tank holds 4 litres and is filled from the top without opening any lid. Remove the tank and the unit becomes a pure air purifier. The sensor shows particles, allergen level and humidity, auto mode picks the speed, and night mode goes down to 15 dB(A) and switches off the display.

Controlled via the Philips Air+ app with schedules and remote control. The panel has a child lock.
