Images with depth

The 1-inch sensor captures 50 MP stills and 4K/60 fps HDR. Switch to the 48 mm Med-Tele mode when you want to make a cabin, a boat or a person stand out against the landscape, and use 4K/120 fps when you want to slow the motion down.

Three kits to choose from

With RC-N3 you use your phone as the screen. The Fly More Combo has DJI RC 2 with a built-in screen, three batteries, charging hub, shoulder bag and ND filters. The Fly More Combo Plus has the same contents but three larger Battery Plus batteries.

★★★★★
Easy-to-fly drone (I also have an older/larger DJI drone, so the settings and handling are familiar), light (I am buying it as a travel drone) and as small as a palm. I wish a neck strap for the controller had been included, stingy DJI! Very happy with my purchase, recommended!

Product FAQ

Do I need to register or get a drone licence?

With the standard battery DJI Mini 5 Pro is class C0: register as a drone operator with the Swedish Transport Agency (it has a camera) and label the drone with your operator ID – no training is required. With the heavier Battery Plus it becomes class C1, and then the agency's online A1/A3 training and test are required too. Always follow the open-category rules: max 120 m altitude and visual line of sight. Always check where you may fly, for example near airports and in nature reserves, and respect other people's privacy when filming.

What is the difference between the three kits?

With RC-N3 you get the drone, the RC-N3 controller (you use your phone as the screen), one battery and a pair of spare propellers. The Fly More Combo has DJI RC 2 with a built-in screen, three batteries, three pairs of propellers, a two-way charging hub, a shoulder bag and an ND filter set ND8/32/128. The Fly More Combo Plus has the same contents but with three Intelligent Flight Battery Plus.

What happens to the weight with Battery Plus?

The larger Battery Plus batteries make the drone heavier than 249 g. It then becomes class C1 and you need the Swedish Transport Agency's A1/A3 drone licence.

Can it handle wind?

According to DJI, Mini 5 Pro withstands winds of up to 12 m/s. It is not waterproof, so do not fly in rain or snow.

Can I take the batteries on a plane?

The batteries are lithium batteries (DJI Mini 5 Pro Intelligent Flight Battery, Intelligent Flight Battery Plus). Under 100 Wh they can normally travel in hand luggage, but not in checked baggage. Discharge them to about 30 %, protect the terminals and always check your airline's rules before you travel.

Description

DJI Mini 5 Pro gives you a 1-inch sensor in a drone that weighs around 249 g. It folds into a small package that fits in your backpack, so it comes along on the mountain hike, the holiday and the evening walk by the water.

The sensor takes 50 MP stills and films in 4K/60 fps HDR or 4K/120 fps, with up to 14 stops of dynamic range according to DJI. Besides 24 mm you get a 48 mm Med-Tele mode with 2x lossless zoom, and the gimbal rotates 225° so you can shoot true vertical video for your phone.

Obstacle sensing works in all directions and has a forward-facing LiDAR, so it copes better at dusk. ActiveTrack 360° follows you while you cycle or hike, and O4+ transmission reaches up to 20 km (FCC) according to DJI. Flight time is up to 36 minutes with the standard battery.

Choose the basic kit with RC-N3, where your phone becomes the screen, or the Fly More Combo with DJI RC 2, three batteries, charging hub, shoulder bag and ND filters. The Fly More Combo Plus has three larger Battery Plus instead – then the drone is class C1.
