Carved from a block of clay

Kurinu builds on kurinuki, where the shape is cut out of a solid block of clay instead of thrown on a wheel. You see it in the straight, softly cut sides and the glazed surface.

The candle burns for up to 40 hours according to Ferm Living. Put it out before the flame reaches the bottom of the container.

Is there a matching holder?

Yes, the Kurinu candle holder comes in the same three glazes.

What should I keep in mind while it burns?

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from anything that can catch fire, and out of reach of children and pets. Keep candles out of draughts and apart from each other, and put it out when about a centimetre is left. Also read the safety text on the packaging.

Description

The Kurinu series is inspired by the Japanese kurinuki technique, where objects are carved out of a solid block of clay. The candle sits in a glazed terracotta container with a matching lid that keeps the scent in when the candle is not lit.

The wax is scented soy wax with a fig fragrance, and the candle burns for up to 40 hours according to Ferm Living.

When the candle is finished, use the container for small things on a shelf or in the bathroom. Available in three glazes: Honey, White and Terracotta.
