I had been cooking with a slow cooker for a while. But how happy I am with this pot. It sits in a corner of my worktop and I can always get going straight away – no more need for an air fryer, grill, oven or big soup pans. Spring rolls and snacks on the air fryer setting work perfectly. Lovely chicken stew – you can brown the chicken in the same pot first – and quickly bake off a part-baked roll, it all works. Today I baked a lovely apple pie, it works just like the oven. Tomorrow a sauerkraut mash with bacon, no extra pans: brown the bacon in the pot and then add the rest of the ingredients (tip: squeeze the sauerkraut so the liquid comes out, otherwise it turns bitter), set it to slow cooker and when you get home a lovely sauerkraut dish is waiting. My wonder pot, no more fuss with all sorts of pans. And more room in the cupboard because other appliances have become redundant. Quickly toasting bread or making a toastie is a piece of cake too. You can simply adjust temperature and times. Apple pie on the bake setting, 180 degrees and 60 minutes. A 24 cm cake tin and a 20 cm pie dish fit in the pot. I only regret one thing, and that is not doing this years earlier. Lightweight, inexpensive compared with my other appliances. Do not hesitate, it is a fantastic pot.

How much food does it hold?

The pot holds 5.5 litres and up to 2.5 kg of food, which according to Russell Hobbs is enough for 6–8 people.

How do I clean it?

Unplug it and let it cool. The basket and plate have a non-stick coating and are dishwasher safe; wash by hand with a soft sponge if you want to spare the coating. Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and never immerse the main unit.

Where should it stand while in use?

On a stable, heat-resistant worktop with free space around it, so the hot air can escape at the back. Do not place it under wall cupboards or against the wall while it is running.

One machine for much of the week's cooking. SatisFry Air & Grill is an air fryer, grill and multicooker in one, with a 5.5-litre pot that holds food for a whole family.

Choose from seven functions – air fry, grill, sear, slow cook, bake and keep warm – on the digital touch panel. Set the temperature between 65 and 260 °C, and the timer runs up to 60 minutes. Heat from above and below plus circulating air give even cooking, and a signal sounds when the food is ready.

The pot and grill rack have a non-stick coating and are dishwasher safe. Power is 1,745 W and the appliance has overheat protection.

For anyone who cooks for several people and wants one appliance on the counter instead of a fryer, grill and slow cooker.
