It's been a busy couple of weeks cooking, but so far I can't fault it. Your standard burgers and sausages are perfectly cooked every time, and the more adventurous things like burnt ends, pulled pork and even homemade pizzas have also all come out perfectly. The only downside – there's no fire to play with. But if you can get past the traditional BBQ mindset, I can guarantee you'll love this.

Product FAQ

What's the difference between the colours?

The grill is the same. Blue/gold and green/gold come with a weatherproof cover and have a lower price; the blue-grey comes without a cover.

Do I need the app?

No. Everything can be controlled with the buttons on the grill. The app (Wi-Fi and Bluetooth) adds remote control, programmes and notifications.

Can I use it on my balcony?

It's electric with no open flame, which is often allowed where charcoal and gas grills are not. Always check the rules of your housing association or municipality. It's for outdoor use only.

Which pellets do I need?

Ninja Woodfire hardwood pellets. Two starter bags (one Robust and one All-Purpose blend) and a scoop are included. The pellets only add flavour – the heat comes from electricity – so one scoop is enough per cook.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Control the grill from your phone and stay with your guests. Ninja Woodfire Pro Connect XL is an electric outdoor grill with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: in the Ninja Pro Connect app you choose programmes, change time and temperature, follow the cook and get a notification when it's time to flip or serve.

Seven functions in one grill: grill, smoke, air fry, roast, bake, dehydrate and reheat. The 45 × 31 cm grill plate holds up to 10 burgers, 40 sausages, 2 racks of ribs or two whole 3 kg chickens, and the basket takes up to 1.8 kg of fries.

The built-in thermometer and Smart Cook System follow the food's temperature, from rare to well done. One scoop of wood pellets in the smoker box gives real smoky flavour in every function.

It's IPX4 rated and can stay outdoors all year. The blue/gold and green/gold colours come with a weatherproof cover. Outdoor use only.
