How often should I sharpen the knives?

Ninja recommends sharpening about every two weeks, or when you notice the knife cutting less well. Lock the clean, dry knife in the sharpener and move the handle back and forth a few times.

Are the knives dishwasher safe?

No. Wash the knives by hand and dry them straight away – that keeps them sharp and shiny for longest.

Can I sharpen the bread knife and the scissors?

No. The sharpener is made for Ninja's straight-edged blades. Don't use it on the serrated bread knife or on the scissors.

Can I sharpen other knives in the block?

The sharpener is designed for Ninja StaySharp knives. Other knives may have a different edge angle, so Ninja doesn't recommend it for them.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Description

Knives in stainless steel from tip to handle, in a wooden block with a built-in sharpener. The 6-piece Ninja StaySharp gives you five kitchen knives and kitchen scissors that get their edge back in a few strokes.

Lock the clean, dry knife in the sharpener and move the handle back and forth. The ceramic wheels sit at the right angle, so no whetstone and no guesswork. Sharpened about every two weeks, the knives stay sharp for ten years according to Ninja.

The blades are forged from German X50CrMoV15 stainless steel with a 22° edge angle and a full tang. The handles are symmetrical with a dimpled surface that grips even with wet hands – as good for left- as for right-handers. Suction cups under the block keep it still while you sharpen.

The set includes a 20 cm chef's knife, slicing knife and bread knife, a 13 cm utility knife, a 9 cm paring knife and scissors that come apart for cleaning. The block comes in black and white.
