Rice made simple

Measure the rice with the included cup, fill with water to the mark in the pot and choose White Rice or Brown Rice. The pot does the rest. The rice paddle fluffs the rice without damaging the coating.

From cooker to oven

Brown the meat on Sear/Sauté, let it simmer on Slow Cook or Braise, then put the pot in the oven to brown the top. It withstands 240 °C.

Easy to wash

The pot, lid, steam rack, ladle and measuring cup are dishwasher safe. Wipe the base with a damp cloth.

This is more than a slow cooker. With all the functions, especially the sear/sauté setting, you can brown meat without needing a frying pan and creating more washing-up! The pasta and rice setting is perfect, and there's no need to drain off excess water. You can cook at least 6 portions at a time, and the unit takes up little space on the worktop. Would definitely recommend it – it is a lot more than just a slow cooker!

I got this to replace my worn-out slow cooker and was not disappointed. It's the perfect size for a family, with a 6 l pot and 8 settings. I cooked pasta for the first time in a slow cooker and was surprised how quickly it cooked using the pasta setting: 20 minutes and perfectly cooked pasta. So happy with the purchase, can't wait to try other recipes, especially since we're going into the autumn season. The multi-function is good, with slow cook, keep warm, sear/sauté, steam, rice or pasta, low/high temperature and time setting. It came with a measuring cup and spoon as well as a wire rack.

Having no cooker or hob, this is another great addition to my Ninja kitchen. As it boils water just like a saucepan, I bought it to solve my egg-cooking problem. Using the pasta function to boil water, I can now have hard-boiled and poached eggs. I can cook omelettes, mushrooms, fry an egg and many more things that I couldn't without a hob. I also bought it as I'm a porridge addict – I can now make my porridge as I like, and I can make cornmeal porridge with ease. For versatility I love this Ninja Foodi 8-in-1.

Absolute game changer – if mine ever fails on me I'm straight out to the shops to buy another. Food tastes great, meat stays tender, and it cooks almost anything. How much rice can I cook?

According to Ninja, up to 800 g of rice, or 500 g of pasta, in the 6 l pot.

Can the pot go on the hob?

No. The pot is designed for the base and for the oven up to 240 °C.

Does the base get hot?

According to Ninja, the handles and base don't get hot, so you can move the appliance after use. The pot and lid do get hot.

What is dishwasher safe?

The pot, lid, steam rack, ladle and measuring cup.

Description

Rice, pasta and slow cooking in the same pot, without needing the hob. Add the rice up to the measuring mark inside the pot, choose White Rice or Brown Rice and walk away – it lets you know when it's done.

The pasta mode cooks pasta right in the pot, so there's no water to drain. Sear/Sauté browns the meat before slow cooking, and the steam rack gently cooks fish and vegetables. Eight modes in all, with low and high heat.

The pot holds 6 l, up to six portions according to Ninja – for example 800 g of rice, 500 g of pasta or a 1.8 kg joint. It is oven safe up to 240 °C, and the handles and base stay cool, so you can move the appliance after use.
