Love my soup maker, so easy to use and it makes the most delicious soup. Sweet potato and red pepper is one of my favourites, along with broccoli and Stilton. You just throw your veg in chunky, your stock, select smooth or chunky and in 30 minutes you have the perfect soup. If you're still busy, it keeps it warm until you're ready. As for cleaning, just add water and some cleaning liquid and it does it for you. A quick rinse and wipe and it's done. Definitely a fantastic buy and a must for every house. Would highly, highly recommend.

I bought this to replace another soup maker which served me well, which I gave to my daughter for making baby food. I am thrilled with it and used it whilst staying in a caravan visiting them. Tried a chicken and veg soup on chunky and really enjoyed it, then blended it smooth for the baby to sample and let's just say his little hands were grabbing at the spoon and despite making a mess he loved it too. Since returning home it has been in use every 2 days. The clean cycle works very well with the included brush or with a sponge-on-a-stick.

Do I need to pre-cook the vegetables?

No. Cut them into pieces, put them in the jug with liquid and choose a soup program – the machine heats and blends by itself.

How much soup does it make?

Up to 1.4 l of hot soup per batch, about four servings.

Is the jug plastic?

No, the jug is heat-resistant glass.

How do I clean it?

Pour in water and a drop of washing-up liquid and run the clean program. Then rinse and wipe dry. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Description

Add vegetables and stock, choose Smooth Soup or Chunky Soup, and come back to a finished soup. Ninja Foodi blender and soup maker has a heating element in the base and cooks the soup in the jug – about 20 minutes according to Ninja, with no saucepan on the hob.

The Pre-Cook Chop and Sauté programs let you soften onion and garlic right in the jug before the rest goes in, and Auto-Stir stirs during cooking. There are ten auto programs in all: smooth soup, chunky soup, smoothie, chop, sauté, dessert, frozen drink, milkshake, jam and sauce.

The jug is heat-resistant glass and holds 1.7 l cold and 1.4 l hot. The motor is 1,000 W and the heating element 800 W. When you're done, add water and a drop of washing-up liquid and press Clean.

One appliance for weekday soup, autumn jam and summer smoothies – good for batch cooks or anyone who wants Sunday's lunch boxes ready.
