Put a chicken in one drawer and root vegetables in the other. Choose Roast for the chicken and Air Fry for the vegetables, set time and temperature for each and press Sync. The air fryer holds back the shorter dish so both are ready when you sit down.

When everyone wants the same

Friday fries for the whole family? Fill both drawers, set one and press Match. The second drawer gets the same mode, temperature and time, and you cook twice as much in one go.

Dial, display and six modes

You choose mode, temperature and time with the dial and see the settings for both drawers on the display. Temperatures range from 40 °C for dehydrating to 240 °C for Max Crisp.

I bought my Ninja dual zone air fryer a couple of weeks ago now and love it. This is an upgrade from a previous, smaller air fryer of a different brand, and I could immediately tell the quality. It looks stylish, is easy to use and cooks things very well. If anything, it cooks things quicker than I thought it would. I had to buy silicone trays separately. It would have been a nice touch if they added a few disposable ones in the box to get you started.

I bought this air fryer a few days ago. It's the first time I've ever had an air fryer and I'm glad I bought the Ninja – I can't fault it. The food tastes so much better. I have cooked chips, chicken goujons and bacon, and all tasted so much crispier in this air fryer. The only downside is the drawers are quite small: I can cook enough for two people, but if you have a bigger family you would need to buy the metal wire racks to maximise the space and cook bigger quantities. But I would definitely recommend this air fryer. I love that you can set the two drawers to finish cooking at the same time – it's a great feature.

How much fits in the drawers?

Each drawer holds 4.75 l, 9.5 l in total. Ninja states that this is enough for up to eight people, for example a whole chicken in one drawer and sides in the other.

What is the difference between Sync and Match?

Sync lets two drawers with different settings finish at the same time. Match copies the settings from one drawer to the other when you cook the same thing in both.

How big is it on the worktop?

According to the manufacturer 43 × 37 × 32 cm (L × W × H). Leave some space around the appliance when in use.

What is dishwasher safe?

The crisper plates. The drawers are non-stick and are easiest to wash by hand with a soft sponge.

Together the drawers hold 9.5 l, which according to Ninja is enough for up to eight people. Cooking the same thing in both? Press Match and the settings are copied to the second drawer.

You get six modes – Max Crisp, Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate – and set the temperature from 40 to 240 °C with the dial on the panel. The drawers are non-stick and the crisper plates are dishwasher safe.
