For kitchens short on worktop

An ordinary two-drawer air fryer sits side by side. Double Stack sits on top of itself: the same 9.5 l split across two drawers, but on the footprint of one. It's 38.5 cm tall, so it fits under the wall cupboards and leaves the rest of the worktop free.

Cook on two levels in each drawer

Put potatoes or fries on the crisper plate, slide in the rack and put fish or chicken on top. Each drawer has its own heating element and fan, so the air reaches both levels. Only need a little food? Use one drawer.

The thermometer that stops in time

Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the meat and choose the result you want, from medium to well done. The Smart Cook system tracks the temperature throughout and stops cooking when the meat is ready – no guessing.

I had the original Ninja side-by-side air fryer, which was always good, especially for crisping, but it took up a lot of space. I needed an air fryer that used less space but still suited our large family, and this dual one was perfect. The trays are on top of one another, so it's half the size yet not too tall to fit under the cupboard. It also has the added bonus of a heat probe, conveniently tucked away but easily accessible when needed. It has a Match setting for both compartments, so no need to programme them separately – just consistent cooking. I've used other brands of air fryer in the past and none have the quality of a Ninja product. Build quality is better and heat is consistent.

I bought this a few days ago as I wanted to upgrade my old air fryer. It was 4 litres and was great, but I hated having just the one drawer. I live on my own and I know this is for families, but I decided to treat myself. OMG! It is amazing, I absolutely love it. I usually only cook for one or two people at most, and this is great as I can cook the whole meal. So if you're thinking about it and think it's just for big families, I say go ahead – you will not be disappointed. I'm delighted with it. I honestly don't understand some of the bad reviews; I think they haven't read the instructions. I luv luv luv it. Tried one of the recipes – lovely. I'm like a kid with a new toy; to say I'm pleased with it is an understatement.

Will it fit under my wall cupboards?

It is 38.5 cm tall according to Ninja, which fits under most wall cupboards. Leave some space around and above the appliance when in use, and pull it forward if needed.

How much does it hold?

Two 4.75 l drawers, 9.5 l in total. According to Ninja, a whole 1.5 kg chicken fits in each drawer.

Do I have to use the racks?

No. Without the racks, the drawers work like an ordinary air fryer. Use the racks when you want to cook on two levels in the same drawer.

What is the difference between Sync and Match?

Sync makes two drawers with different settings finish at the same time. Match copies the settings from one drawer to the other.

What is the difference between the colours?

The functions are the same. According to Ninja, the Cyber Space edition also comes with an apron and silicone tongs.

Description

Two drawers stacked on top of each other instead of side by side. Double Stack takes up less worktop space than an ordinary two-drawer air fryer, and at 38.5 cm tall it fits under most wall cupboards.

Each drawer holds 4.75 l – according to Ninja a whole 1.5 kg chicken per drawer. Each drawer also has a rack that sits above the crisper plate so you can cook on two levels. With both drawers that's four levels: fries at the bottom, salmon on top, and vegetables and chicken in the other drawer.

The drawers are controlled separately with six modes – Air Fry, Max Crisp, Roast, Bake, Reheat and Dehydrate. Sync makes both finish together, and Match gives both the same settings.

This model also has the Smart Cook system with a digital thermometer. Insert it into the meat, choose how well done you want it, and the air fryer finishes cooking when the food is ready.

Drawers, crisper plates and racks are dishwasher safe. For anyone who wants to cook the whole dinner at once but is short on worktop space.
