Put rice and water in the combi pan, place the crisper tray on top with chicken or salmon and choose Combi Meals. The steam cooks the rice while hot air crisps what's on top.

This great piece of kit has completely changed my cooking habits. I mostly just cook for myself, but it's great to chuck a load of veggies in the bottom with the water and, part way through, put more tender stuff on top of that. Meat and a potato for roasting go on the crisper tray and in 15 minutes my meal is cooked. I use the sauté function to thicken the stock for gravy. A decent sized chicken cooks in 30 minutes and no mess. Bread rises and bakes beautifully. I love it! I am looking forward to showing it off when family come to visit.

A very versatile appliance which has impressed me. It has a modern design and looks to be built well. The digital panel is very simple to navigate. It has a glass window and light so you can check the progress of the food whilst cooking. I've only cooked a few meals and so far all have been spot on. The accessories are non-stick and are a dream to clean, unlike the ones that come with the DT200UK. If you don't have extraction in your kitchen, then opening the windows is a must, as it does produce lots of steam.

I already have a Ninja dual zone air fryer, but the Combi caught my eye and I'm so happy I gave in to the temptation. This thing is the bomb! I can only think of one "bad" point and that's the shape of the bake tray: it has a lump in the centre which can make it awkward to sit things on, but overall I give it 10/10. I've had it almost a month and only used my oven once. Rice cooked perfectly in it, cakes cooked to perfection in 45 minutes. I'm still learning what to cook on which settings, but so far I can't fault it. I use it alongside my dual zone, but honestly? Don't think about it, just go buy it!

How is it different from a regular air fryer?

Combi has a front door, two levels and uses steam together with hot air, so you can cook rice or pasta and meat at the same time.

Does it produce a lot of steam?

Yes, in combi modes steam comes out of the appliance. Place it with free space above and ideally under an extractor.

Description

A front door, two levels inside, and steam plus hot air. With Ninja Combi you cook a main and a side at the same time: salmon on the crisper tray on top, rice in the combi pan below. According to Ninja, a meal like that is ready in about 15 minutes, excluding preheating.

Choose the mode with the SmartSwitch. In Combi Cooker mode, superheated steam works together with hot air – for whole meals, crisp surfaces, evenly risen bread, rice and pasta, steaming and reheating. In the other mode you air fry, bake, grill, sear and slow cook as in a regular oven or on the hob.

Capacity is 12.5 l, and through the lit glass door you can watch the food. The combi pan and crisper tray are non-stick and dishwasher safe.
