You literally throw the ingredients in, select which mode you want, and it's done. I also love the portability; the smoothie is ready to go in the same tumbler it's made in. This is great. It's a little noisy but blends well. It crushes ice to snow. Does not leak. Does fit in the cup holder of my car but the handle does get in the way. Has great suction for the tabletop. Being able to buy the jugs separately is a bonus.

How much does the cup hold?

The cup is 710 ml and is filled to at most 650 ml – about one large serving.

Can I blend hot drinks?

No. Like most single-serve blenders it is made for cold and room-temperature ingredients – read the manual before you start.

Does it fit a car cup holder?

Yes, according to Ninja the cup fits standard cup holders. One buyer notes the handle can get a bit in the way depending on the car.

Is it loud?

It has a powerful motor and is audible when crushing ice, like most blenders. The programs are short, usually under a minute.

Description

Blend your smoothie straight in the cup, screw on the lid and take it with you. Ninja BlendBoss is a single-serve blender where the 710 ml cup is also your travel mug – with a carry handle and a shape that fits a car cup holder.

The 1,100 W motor drives the CrushBlade, which according to Ninja turns ice into snow in seconds. Three Auto-iQ programs – Smoothie, Blend and Crush – pulse and pause for you and stop by themselves when done. Prefer to be in charge? There's pulse.

The lid is leak-proof when properly fitted, and you drink through the spout or with the removable straw. Cup, lid, straw and blade are dishwasher safe.

It takes little room on the worktop and comes in five colour combinations – just right for a small kitchen, a student room or anyone who takes breakfast to work.
