I was initially sceptical, but the moment I put them on I was genuinely impressed – both by the sound quality and the level of noise isolation. Out of the box, with default settings, they performed to a very high standard, and when I eventually installed the app a few days later I found very little need to change or configure anything. Comfort-wise, I'm equally impressed. They sit beautifully on the ear, and while they're heavier than most headphones, that weight actually conveys a real sense of quality rather than feeling like a burden.

Yes. The app adds settings such as noise-cancelling modes and EQ, but the headphones work without it.

How long does charging take?

30 minutes gives about 9 hours of listening and 10 minutes about 2.5 hours, according to Dyson. Charges via USB-C.

Are they heavy?

They weigh 451 g. The weight is spread evenly over the headband, but they are heavier than many other headphones.

Can I change the colour?

Yes, caps and ear cushions in other colours are sold separately.

Description

Wireless over-ear headphones for the commute, the office and travel. Eight active noise-cancelling microphones reduce up to 40 dB of ambient sound according to Dyson, and transparency mode lets the world in when you need to hear it.

The battery lasts up to 55 hours according to Dyson. Ten minutes of fast charging gives about 2.5 hours of listening, and 30 minutes gives 9 hours. The frequency range runs from 6 Hz to 21 kHz, for bass you can feel and clear treble.

The cushions are soft microfibre and foam, the headband is designed for even weight distribution, and the ceramic-finish caps can be swapped for other colours. A joystick controls volume, tracks and calls, and sensors pause the music when you take the headphones off.
