How do I use the steamer?
Fill the water tank, let it heat up and hold the garment taut on a hanger. Move the steamer from top to bottom along the fabric. Never steam clothes someone is wearing and do not point the steam at people or animals.
What can I put in the water tank?
Follow the instructions for which water suits your area. Never add perfume, starch, descaler or other additives.
Can it replace an iron?
The heated press plate handles collars, seams and everyday garments. For large amounts of crisp ironing on a board, a regular iron or steam generator is still quicker.

Description
Both a steamer and an iron. Steam Genie Maestro keeps the water tank in the base and has a light heated press plate, so you can steam the shirt on its hanger or press a collar on the table.
The removable tank holds 750 ml – according to Russell Hobbs enough for about 10 shirts in 30 minutes. Steam is continuous, 25 g per minute according to Russell Hobbs, and it is ready in about 45 seconds.
The base has a carry handle and storage for the cord and accessories, one for delicate fabrics and one for upholstery. Power is 1,700 W, the cord 3 metres, and self-clean and automatic switch-off are included.
