I have just bought the Russell Hobbs coffee machine, a brand I buy very regularly because I already love their design and have never been disappointed. I had long been looking for a machine for coffee beans, but with a jug rather than espresso. Unlike some comments, I do not find it noisy for grinding the coffee. Very easy to use, it makes excellent coffee very quickly and stops as soon as it is done. Keeps warm for a very long time – after two hours the coffee is still hot. Highly recommended.

Is the grinder loud?

The grinder is audible while grinding, a few seconds per batch.

Can I use ground coffee?

Yes, you can skip the grinder and brew with pre-ground coffee.

Which filter do I need?

The coffee maker takes ordinary 1×4 paper filters. Check the manual for your model to see whether a permanent filter is included.

How do I descale it?

Descale regularly with a coffee maker descaler following the instructions on its pack, then run two cycles with clean water.

How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Description

Grind & Brew grinds whole beans in a conical grinder just before brewing and fills a 1.25 litre thermal jug – up to ten cups.

The bean container holds 250 g and is removable. Choose coarse, medium or fine grind, the amount for 2–10 cups, brew strength and time on the digital display – the timer can be set in advance. Pre-ground coffee works too.

The thermal jug keeps the coffee hot without a hot plate. The machine is stainless steel and black.
