According to Russell Hobbs about 6 seconds on the base gives heat for 5–10 seconds of ironing. Work in short strokes and put the iron back in between.
Can I iron every fabric at the same temperature?

What can I put in the water tank?
Follow the instructions for which water suits your area. Never add perfume, starch, descaler or other additives.
How do I clean the soleplate?
Unplug the iron and let it cool completely. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners and steel wool.

Description
Iron without the cord catching on the table leg. This iron charges on its base and moves freely over the fabric, and with a single temperature that Russell Hobbs says suits all ironable fabrics you skip the dial altogether.
The iron runs at 2,600 W, with continuous steam of 45 g per minute and a 210 g shot of steam. Put it back on the base for about 6 seconds between strokes and you have heat for another 5–10 seconds of ironing.
The ceramic soleplate glides easily, the tank holds 350 ml and the base cord is 1.9 metres. Anti-drip, anti-scale, self-clean and automatic switch-off are included.
For anyone who finds the cord the worst part of ironing.
