Can I play without a PS5?
Only games available for cloud streaming with PlayStation Plus Premium (sold separately). Otherwise you need a PS5 paired with Portal.
Does it work away from home?
Yes, as long as the internet connection is good, but the experience depends on the network. A mobile hotspot uses a lot of data.
Can I download games to it?
No, Portal stores no games. Games run on your PS5 or in the cloud.
Do PS VR2 games work?
No, games that require PS VR2 or special accessories cannot be played via Portal.
Is it an original Sony product?
Yes, it is Sony’s own remote player in its original packaging.

Description
PlayStation Portal lets you play PS5 games on its own 8-inch screen, on the sofa, in bed or in another room while someone else uses the TV. It connects to your PS5 over wifi with Remote Play and shows games at up to 1080p and 60 frames per second.
The controls around the screen are the same as on DualSense, with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. With PlayStation Plus Premium you can also stream selected PS5 games from the cloud without using the console.
Portal is not a standalone console: it needs a PS5 or cloud streaming and a good internet connection.
