Is it itchy?

How wool feels against the skin is personal. If you have very sensitive skin a thin top in between can be nice.

How do I wash it?

An airing outdoors is usually enough. If it needs washing, follow the care label – wool should not be washed hot or tumble dried.

Does the colour match the picture?

The pictures are the maker’s own, but screens show colours differently. Woven wool can also vary slightly between batches.

Birka is designed by Birgitta Bengtsson Björk, with stripes in palettes like earth, flower, meadow, autumn leaf and waterfall. A throw to curl up under on a cool evening. The wool comes from New Zealand, from farms licensed under Wool Integrity NZ – no mulesing.

It measures 130 × 200 cm and is made of 100% lambswool. The short ends have fringes.

Wool keeps you warm without feeling clammy, breathes and naturally repels dirt. Most of the time an airing outdoors is all it needs – wash only when necessary and follow the label.
