Does it count as an ordinary bicycle in Sweden?
Yes, according to Eskute: the C202 has a 250 W nominal motor and pedal assistance that stops helping at 25 km/h, and it is certified to EN 15194 and CE marked. That makes it a bicycle in Sweden – no licence, insurance or registration. It is delivered without a throttle: the motor only helps while you pedal. Fitting a throttle or changing the electrical system turns it into a moped in the eyes of the law.
How is the bike delivered, and do I need to assemble it?
The bike arrives in a large box, partly pre-assembled. Inside are the C202, charger, tool kit and manual. You fit the last parts yourself following the manual. Take your time, tighten every bolt properly and check the brakes, handlebar and tyre pressure before the first ride. If you are unsure, a bike workshop can do the assembly or a final check.
How does it differ from the step-through C202?
The frame. Motor, battery, gears, brakes and tyres are the same according to Eskute; the high frame means swinging a leg over, but it feels sturdy and sporty.
How far can I ride on one charge?
According to Eskute, 70–110 km with pedal assistance. Your actual range depends on assistance level, your weight and load, hills, wind, temperature and tyre pressure – it is shorter in the cold.
How do I look after the lithium battery?
The battery (48 V 17,5 Ah, about 840 Wh) is a lithium-ion battery. Charge it indoors with the supplied charger, on a dry, fire-safe surface and preferably while you are at home. Let a cold battery reach room temperature before charging. Over winter, store it cool and dry indoors, partly charged, and top it up now and then. Never use a battery that is damaged, swollen or has been under water. Take a worn-out battery to a recycling centre or a shop that collects batteries.
What rider height does it suit?
Eskute gives 160–190 cm.
Do I need a helmet?
In Sweden, children under 15 must wear a helmet when cycling. It is not required for adults, but we recommend a helmet on every ride.

The Eskute C202 step-over is the same everyday e-bike as the C202, but with a classic diamond frame – for riders who want a sturdy, sportier bike for commuting, trips into town or a weekend ride.
The 250 W, 65 Nm motor helps while you pedal and cuts out at 25 km/h. The removable 48 V, 17.5 Ah battery gives 70–110 km according to Eskute and charges indoors.
A suspension fork, 26-inch tyres, seven gears and mechanical disc brakes make it comfortable and easy to control. Front and rear lights, a rear rack and NFC unlocking are included.
Suits riders about 160–190 cm tall. The bike arrives boxed and you fit the last parts yourself.
