Carpets and hard floors with one head
The All Floor Cones Sense head switches between carpets and hard floors on its own. Nylon bristles reach into the carpet, soft fibres take care of the parquet, and the head adjusts suction to the surface.
Wet cleaning when you need it
The Submarine 2.0 head washes the floor with clean water. Choose the normal mode for everyday spills, or max mode for more water when a stain is stubborn.
Empty and stay clean
Empty the bin straight into the rubbish bag – the inside is wiped clean on the way out, so no hair stays behind. The crevice tool is built in, always within reach.

Will my old Dyson tools fit?
No. According to Dyson, the V16 Piston Animal's heads and tools can't be shared with other Dyson vacuums in the current range.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 70 minutes according to Dyson; the time is shorter in boost mode and with motorised heads. Charging takes about 4.5 hours and the click-in battery can be swapped.
How heavy is it?
About 3.5 kg with the floor head fitted.
Can it wash floors?
Yes, with the included Submarine 2.0 head on hard floors, with clean water.

Description
Dyson's most powerful cordless vacuum, made for homes with long hair and pets – and in the Submarine version it also washes hard floors. According to Dyson, the new 900 W Hyperdymium motor delivers up to 315 air watts, and the battery lasts up to 70 minutes.
The All Floor Cones Sense head has two conical brush bars that guide hair to the sides and straight into the bin, instead of letting it wrap around the brush. The head senses the floor type and adapts suction and brush speed, and a central light beam reveals dust on hard floors.
The CleanCompaktor bin compresses dust and hair while you clean, so it holds more between emptying – up to 30 days of dust, according to Dyson. When you empty it, the inside is wiped clean. The crevice tool is built into the machine, so it turns handheld without hunting for tools.
The Submarine 2.0 head washes hard floors with clean water and has its own max mode for stubborn stains. It is a separate head, so you simply swap heads when it's time to wash the floor.
