Spills and stains on hard floors
The Submarine head's microfibre roller turns with clean water and lifts what's stuck – food under the table, coffee in the kitchen, dirt by the door. The dirty water goes into a separate tank.
Carpets and pet hair
The Digital Motorbar head senses the floor type and adjusts power, and the vanes lift hair out of the brush. The hair screw tool takes pet hair off the sofa.
Numbers on the screen
The LCD screen shows mode, remaining time and what the sensor registers. You see straight away if a room needs another pass.

I'm very satisfied, the vacuum is powerful and even with two pets it was no problem to get all the hair up. The Submarine attachment wipes away all stains without a problem. The only thing to criticise is that it was very annoying to dry the brush of the Submarine attachment.

I'm absolutely thrilled with the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine! Handling is really excellent – everything is intuitive, light and well thought out. The suction is impressively strong and makes even the finest dust disappear effortlessly. The mopping function has also convinced me: it cleans thoroughly and leaves a visibly clean result. The whole handling is simply great – from changing the attachments to cleaning the machine. For me the machine is a real relief in everyday life and worth every cent. A clear recommendation!

How long does the battery last?
Up to 60 minutes according to Dyson, depending on mode and head. Charging takes about 4.5 hours and the click-in battery can be swapped.
What does the screen show?
It shows what the sensor picks up while you clean, which mode is selected and how many minutes of battery are left.
Do I need a cleaning product?
No, the head washes with clean water. If you still use a floor cleaner, follow the manufacturer's instructions and Dyson's manual.
Can the Submarine head be used on carpets?
No, it's made for hard floors. On carpets you use the Digital Motorbar head.
How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?

Description
A cordless vacuum that also washes hard floors. The Submarine head has a motorised microfibre roller that wipes away spills and stains with clean water – crumbs after dinner, paw prints in the hall, mess under the high chair.
A piezo sensor counts dust particles while you clean and raises or lowers suction depending on how dirty it is. The LCD screen shows what's being picked up, the mode in use and the remaining battery. According to Dyson the motor delivers up to 240 air watts and the battery lasts up to 60 minutes.
The Digital Motorbar head senses the floor type and has polycarbonate vanes that clear hair out of the brush and into the bin. The bin empties in a single move straight into the rubbish bag, and in one move the vacuum turns handheld.
The box also includes a hair screw tool for the sofa and car, a crevice tool and a dock for charging and storage.
