It looks for what you miss
A green light blade lights up the floor ahead of the robot, and the HD camera with AI tells wet from dry spills. On a stubborn stain it goes over several times – up to 15 passes according to Dyson – and checks the floor before moving on.
A roller that washes itself
Clean water is fed to the roller from twelve points, and dirt is scraped off on every turn. In the dock the roller is rinsed with water heated to 60 °C and then dried with warm air, so it's ready for next time.
The dock takes care of the rest
Ten cyclones empty the robot's bin without bags. According to Dyson the dock holds dry debris for up to 100 days, so you rarely empty it.

Can it go on rugs?
Yes, it vacuums rugs. The wet roller lifts automatically when the robot senses a rug, so the rug doesn't get wet. It can get caught in rugs with long fringes – tuck the fringes away or set a no-go zone in the app.
How often does the dock need emptying?
According to Dyson the dock holds dry debris for up to 100 days. How long it lasts depends on the size of your home and how often the robot cleans.
Do I need the app?
The robot starts from the button, but in the MyDyson app you draw the map, schedule cleaning and set zones where it shouldn't go.
How big is the dock?
About 50.8 × 44 cm and 45.5 cm tall, and it weighs about 9 kg. Allow a little free space in front of it so the robot can drive in.

Description
A robot that both vacuums and washes, and finds the stains on its own. An HD camera and a green light blade in front of the robot reveal spills and dried-on stains, and the AI decides how many passes are needed – up to 15 on a stubborn stain before it moves on, according to Dyson.
The floor is washed with a motorised wet roller that keeps getting clean water and is cleaned on every turn, so dirt isn't spread around. At the edges the roller extends 40 mm, and on rugs it lifts automatically so they don't get wet. The vacuum side has an anti-tangle brush bar and rotating side brushes for the corners.
In the dock the robot is emptied by ten cyclones, the roller is rinsed with water heated to 60 °C and dried with 45 °C warm air. According to Dyson the dock holds dry debris for up to 100 days. LiDAR and 24 sensors help the robot find its way around furniture, and you control cleaning in the MyDyson app.
