Several apps at once
Keep a recipe next to the timer, or notes beside a video call. iPadOS lets you work with several apps on screen at once, and the A16 chip keeps the pace up.
From note to sketch
With Apple Pencil (USB-C) – or the 1st generation Apple Pencil via the USB-C adapter – you handwrite, mark up PDFs and draw. The pencil is sold separately.
Add a keyboard
Magic Keyboard Folio (sold separately) adds a keyboard, trackpad and an adjustable stand – handy for schoolwork and email.
Product FAQ
What do Wi-Fi and Cellular mean?
The Wi-Fi model connects over Wi-Fi. The Cellular model (Wi-Fi + Cellular) also has 5G and connects with eSIM when there is no Wi-Fi – it does not take physical SIM cards. You need a mobile plan with eSIM from your carrier.
Which Apple Pencil fits?
Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Apple Pencil (1st generation). The 1st generation pencil pairs and charges via the USB-C to Apple Pencil adapter.
Is a charger included?
The box contains iPad and a USB-C charge cable (1 m). A power adapter is sold separately.
How much storage do I need?
128 GB is enough for apps, documents and some films. Choose 256 or 512 GB if you download lots of films, play large games or keep many photos locally.
How fast will it arrive, and can I change my mind?
Delivery options and times are on our Delivery page. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal and a 3-year right to complain – see the Returns page.
Description
iPad with the A16 chip is the tablet for the whole family – series on the sofa, homework at the kitchen table, video calls and notes on the go. The 11-inch Liquid Retina display has True Tone, and you unlock with Touch ID in the top button.
The A16 chip has a 5-core CPU and 4-core GPU, so apps, games and editing run smoothly. According to Apple the battery lasts up to 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing or video playback, and you charge over USB-C – the same cable as many other devices.
The Center Stage camera sits on the long edge, so you stay centred in video calls when iPad is in landscape. With Apple Pencil (USB-C) or Apple Pencil (1st generation) and Magic Keyboard Folio (sold separately) it becomes a sketchbook or a small laptop.
Choose silver, blue, pink or yellow, 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage, and Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + Cellular with 5G.
